UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 08: The preparations for summary
revision of Electoral Rolls-2018 were discussed here today at a meeting of
EROs, AEROs of the district.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal,
discussed various issues like training and orientation of EROs/AEROs, appointment
of Booth Level Officers, deletion of identified multiple entries,
Rationalization of Polling stations, photography campaign for residual
electors, updating of control tables and conduct of activities under SVEEP were
discussed in detail.
It was given out in the meeting that the district has proposed 36 new
polling stations for the ease of the electors who have to travel more than 2 km
for casting their vote. More 24 polling stations have been proposed for change
of locations.
The Dy DEO asked all the EROs and AEROs to re-verify the locations of
newly proposed polling stations.
Detailed discussions were also held on Draft publication of Electoral Rolls, preparations for recording claims
and Objections, Special campaign Dates, Disposal of Claims and Objections,
updating of Database including merging of Photographs, preparation and printing of
supplementary list, final publication of Electoral Rolls etc.
