Sanitation programme in Shopian from Sept 15

          SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 13: To finalize the schedule for National wide sanitation programme "Swachhata Hi Seva", the District Development Commissioner Shopian Aijaz Ahmed Khan today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers here at mini secretariat Arhama, Shopian.

          The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Aharbal Development Authority, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Education Officer, Programme Officer ICDS, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Panchayat Officer, Executive Engineer's from Public Health Engineer, Power Development Department, Mughal road,  Executive officer municipal committee Shopian, all BDO's ZEO'S and other concerned officers and officials.

          The meeting decided to create awareness on environmental cleanliness in the entire district so a campaign Swachhata Hi Seva cleanliness, will be started from September 15, 2017 Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2017 will be observed,

          The meeting was decided that citizens, Panchayat's Municipal committee and school children will participate in the sanitation activities during 18 days campaign that will culminate on Gandhi Jayanti.

          On the occasion, the DDC asked the police department to actively participate and assist in its implementation. He directed the municipal committee to make suitable arrangements for disposal of waste garbage collected during the sanitation drive.
