Sep 5: India today said that peace and tranquility in the border area were
pre-requisite for further development of relationship between two countries.
The Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar told media after Prime Minister Narendra
Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping meeting for about an hour, both sides
agreed to take forward the talks. He said common ground should be found to deal
with the differences between India and China and that both the leaders also
spoke abut building mutual trust. "There was very strong affirmation at
the leadership level," Mr Jaishankar said. UNI
