Sept 5 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said India's model of
cooperation with the global community and especially among BRICS member nations
is driven purely by the requirements and priorities of its partner countries.
Describing it as “no strings attached model" of cooperation, Mr Modi
mooted 10 noble commitments to be taken up by BRICS leadership for global transformation.
In this context, he said there is a need to create a 'Greener World' by taking
concerted action on climate change and through initiatives such as
International Solar Alliance. He said the BRICS nations comprising Brazil,
Russia, India, China and South Africa should work collectively for a
"digital world and skilled world" that would ensure an healthier
equitable world and harmonious future. Strongly pitching for creating a 'Safer
World', the Prime Minister said there should be organised and coordinated
action on Counter Terrorism, Cyber Security and Disaster Management. He there
should be also efforts to create an 'Inclusive World' by ensuring that the
poorest of the poor ought to be integrated into the financial mainstream. Among
other things, PM Modi said steps ought to be taken by providing equality of
opportunity to all, through gender equality. With regard creating of a
'connected world', the Prime Minister said there should be steps for enabling
free flow of persons, services and goods. He also advocated the cause of
'Creating a Harmonious World' by promoting ideologies, practices and heritage
"that are centred on peaceful co-existence and living in harmony with
