Removal of dynasty and appeasement politics of the biggest achievement of Modi Govt: Amit Shah

Ranchi, Sep 16: BJP’s national president Amit Shah today said removal of dynasty politics, politics of casteism and that of appeasement have been the biggest achievement of the present central Government which is being headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here, Mr Shah, who is on a three day visit to the state, said when one looks back at the country they would find that scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore were done during the UPA regime while now there was such a government in power on which even after three years not a single charge of corruption has been levelled. He said, the UPA-2 was suffering from policy paralysis while the present government being led by the Prime Minister was a bold and concrete decision making government. Mr Shah said economic indices are the proof of the work being done by the central government and the share market was everyday breaking its own records. He said the Narendra Modi government has taken many steps for the welfare of the tribals, dalits, backwards, youth and women and the poor. He said under the Jan Dhan Yojana, 29 crore bank accounts have been opened while under the Ujjwala Yojana, 2.80 crore women have been provided LPG connections free of cost, the people were also being provided insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh at a premium of just Rs 22 and Rs 300. He said, loans worth of Rs 7,64,000 crore have been distributed under Mudra Yojana while 4.5 crore toilets have been constructed under the Swach Bharat Mission. He said after Independence there were still 19,000 villages which were without power out of which 14,000 villages have been electrified and by May 2018 the remaining would also be lit up as the government was committed to provide power to all by 2022. Mr Shah said the GST which was a distant dream was now a reality and the notion of one tax one nation has been realised. The successful execution of the surgical strike post the URI Attacks is an example that the government was willing to go to nay extent for the safeguard of the nation and restoring the pride and honour of the jawans.
