Sep 9: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has accepted the review petition
filed by Sharif family and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar against the Panama Papers
verdict. According to Supreme Court, the hearing of the review petition will
begin from September 12. According to a report published in "Samaa"
yesterday, Justice Ejaz Afzal will head the three-member bench which also
comprise of Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan. The apex
court disqualified Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister of Pakistan on July 28. The
former premier had filed two separate review petitions against the judgment of
the Supreme Court. Dar, in his review petition, stated that Joint Investigation
Team investigating the offshore wealth of Sharif family and the minister,
overstepped its mandate and the verdict was given without going through the
