Sensex up by 81.65 pts

Mumbai, Sep 5 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) recovered today by 81.65 points at 31,783.90 as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose by 24.60 points to 9,937.45. The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, IT, Helath Care, Power stocks pushed the market up in early trade. In scrips, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Reliance Industries and Tata Steel advanced while Bharti Airetl, Sun Pharma, Lupin and M & M declined that capped from further gain, broker said. The gainers were Asian Paints by 1.34 pc to Rs 1212.55, Bajaj Auto by 1.32 pc to Rs 2952, Reliance Industries by 1.30 pc to Rs 1632.30 and Tata Steel by 0.78 pc to Rs 651.15. The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.71 pc to Rs 404.60, Sun Pharma by 0.65 pc to Rs 497.30, Lupin by 0.59 pc to Rs 990 and M & M by 0.54 pc to Rs 1321. UNI
