Tom Alter has left behind rich legacy: Sonia

New Delhi, Sept 30: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday expressed grief over the death of veteran actor Tom Alter. Remembering him as a gifted actor, Ms Gandhi said through his many roles in films, television and theatre, Alter earned a special place in the hearts of Indian audiences. He leaves behind a rich legacy, she added. The Congress President prayed that his family, friends and admirers find strength in this hour of grief. Padma Shri awardee Alter, who has been battling skin cancer for quite sime time, breathed his last in Mumbai at age of 67 on Friday night. UNI
