Tripura ADC accused NITI Aayog of not funding

Agartala, Sep 5: The ruling CPI(M) in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) has blamed National Institute of Transforming India (NITI) Aayog for not releasing any fund till the date of this financial year, which became a hindrance for development of tribal areas. The ADC Executive Member of PWD and Education Rajendra Reang informed in ongoing session of the council that has released Rs 91 crore development funds in last financial year but nothing this year so far. He however, pointed out that ADC has been facing a serious fun crunch that prevented execution of many development projects and added, “There is no reason to stop funding except political consideration of BJP.” UNI
