Kangra, Sept 11 : Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari branch, Kangra, a spiritually oriented service mission, is organizing ‘Universal Brotherhood Marathon’ here today, in connection with 'Universal Brotherhood Day' to commemorate the historical Speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda on September 11, 1893 at world religious conference at Chicago in United States. Dr Naveen Sharma, Vice Convener of Kendra told UNI that the Marathon from Tehsil Chowk of Kangra town will move via Kangra Bypass and Bhanganga and will culminate at Dr.RPGMC Tanda. The marathon will be flagged off by Dharmesh Kumar Ramotra SDM Kangra and Swami Visharad Chaitanya of Chinmayanand mission . He said that after the marathon ‘Universal Brotherhood day’ celebration program will be held in the auditorium of the Tanda Medical College which would be attended by luminaries,intellectuals besides large number of youths. He said that the prizes among the winners in different categories, Male, female and Senior Citizens would be distributed on this occasion. A 93-year-old freedom fighter of INA will be honoured on the occasion to highlight contribution of freedom fighters for India’s freedom struggle before the young generation. UNI
