SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 05: Minister of State for
Health & Medical Education and Urban Development, and Social Welfare, Asiea
Naqash today laid foundation stone of two New Type Primary Health Centres
(NTPHC) in Larridora and Heevan villages of Baramulla district.
On the occasion, Minister said that these health centres
are built to provide succour to the people of rural areas particularly in times
of emergency. She said that these PHCs would be equipped with all modern
medical facilities and equipments.
Naqash remarked that government is keen to put in all
efforts to provide basic amenities to the people particularly in the field of
healthcare. She impressed that the construction of NTPHCs will minimise the
rush towards other hospitals.
Later the Minister visited various PHCs and hospitals of
the district. She also visited the construction site of Govt Medical College,
Baramulla to review the progress. Enroute she also met various delegations
and assured them that all their issues would soon be addressed.
The Minister was accompanied by MLA Baramulla, Javed
Hassan Beigh, District Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, MD
Housing, Dr Manmohan Singh, Deputy Director ICDS Rashida Akhter and various
other officials.
