Body of a woman recovered in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 4: Body of a woman was recovered under suspicious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
      However, locals alleged that the woman suffered a heart attack when some unidentified persons tried to chop her braid in a field in Pulwama.
      Official sources told UNI that panic gripped Abhama, Rajpor when some locals saw body of a woman lying in a field.
      The locals immediately informed the police, they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
      “Postmortem of the body is being conducted to ascertain the cause of the death,” they added.
      “We will not be able to confirm the cause of the death without getting the postmortem report. But, the braid of the woman has not been chopped,” they added.
      The locals, however, alleged that the woman died after she was attacked by braid choppers when she was alone in a field.
      The allegation by locals comes a day after police rescued a youth, who was mistaken for a braid chopper and thrashed by a mob in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
      Two burka-clad women were beaten during a marriage ceremony in downtown Srinagar when they were mistaken for braid choppers yesterday. UNI
