AAP holds protest against Metro fare hike, MLAs court arrest, later released

New Delhi, Oct 13: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday protested against the Metro fare hike which was effected on October 10. AAP Delhi convener and Rural Development Minister Gopal Rai led a protest march outside Nirman Bhawan in the capital against the Metro fare hike. 'AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai led MLAs, councillors and volunteers held a protest against Metro fare hike outside Urban Development Ministry at 12 pm.' Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Rajendra Pal along with MLAs and volunteers was detained by Delhi Police while protesting. However, the detainees were later released. Earlier, the Delhi Assembly on Monday passed a resolution against the Metro fare hike amidst pandemonium in the House. The AAP Government in its resolution has urged the Urban Development Ministry to 'intervene' in common man's interest and the environment against the proposed hike. UNI
