Amit Shah gets rousing reception in Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 10: BJP president Amit Shah was accorded a rousing welcome at the Choudhury Charan Singh International airport here on Tuesday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his ministerial colleagues along with senior BJP leaders. Mr Shah reached here at around 1045 hrs from New Delhi and would be flying to Amethi by a chopper along with the UP CM, his two deputies Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma besides UP BJP president Mahendra Nath Pandey. Mr Shah will address a public meeting at Gauriganj, the borough of the Nehru -Gandhi family in Amethi . Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani is already in Amethi to welcome the leaders. This would be an important public meeting for the BJP as for the first time, Mr Shah would be replying to the charges levelled against his son Jay Shah. Mr Shah will also visit Sitapur at around 1330 hrs where he will lay the foundation stone for BJP district officials and thereafter will attend a RSS programme in Lucknow before leaving for New Delhi late tonight.
