Commissioner SMC reviews sanitation works, directs repair of city street lights

          SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 28: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Riyaz Ahmad Wani accompanied by a team of SMC conducted an extensive tour to shrines of Makhdoom Sahib ^(RA) and Peer Dastageer Sahib ^(Ra) to review the status of sanitation and drainage works there.

          On the eve of forthcoming urs of Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Sahib ^(RA), special sanitation drives have been launched in and around the shrine premises by SMC. On spot instructions were issued by the Commissioner SMC for repair of all defunct street lights around the locality.

          During his city tour, the Commissioner SMC also took stock of drainage issues, sanitation, street lights and other related civic issues. Directions were given to line Departments for removal of demolition waste spread along the main roads in the city.

          Commissioner SMC also asked the concerned to act tough against illegal constructions and violations.
