UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 7:- The District Election Cell (DEC) Udhampur today discussed modalities for Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls- 2018 here at a meeting of EROs and AEROs.
Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal gave a detailed power point presentation regarding Summary Revision of
Electoral Rolls which was followed by threadbare discussion on various issues and
activities to be conducted for public awareness. It was informed that mass
awareness camps would be held at Booth level & polling stations, while
people drum beating, Mobile awareness vans would be used for informing the
eligible voters for filling of claims and objections. The
meeting also decided to hold electoral awareness camps for
chowkidars/Numberdars, door to door campaign by AWWs/AWHS, ASHA Workers & BLOs, awareness rallies, Rural Games,
Nukkads, awareness workshop, slogan writing competition etc.
The concerned officers were asked to work with dedication and zeal to
make the programme a great success. The officers were also asked to maintain
close coordination for spreading maximum awareness regarding the Summary
Revision across the district to cover all eligible voters.
The meeting was attended by, ACR, Subash Dogra PO ICDS, Rimpy Ohri SDM
Chenani Devinder Sharma, and other officers of various of departments, members
of civil society were present in the meeting.
