Bengaluru, Oct 4: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi heading the GST Committee of Ministers to remove glitches relating to Information Technology in the implementation of GST today said that the GST Council will meet on October 6 to consider refund for exporters. Speaking to newsmen, after a meeting of the Committee held in the Electronic city here, he said that the Council would also consider ease of doing business for small tax payers. The Committee members who also visited the Infosys campus here was assured by the IT major that it would place a technical officer in each to resolve GSTN issues. Mr Modi said 'we had detailed meeting with engineers who were on job of developing GST software, after that we had meeting with the states and GST officials and top officials concerned with GST. This was the second meeting of GOM constituted by the GST council to monitor and review the implementation of GST network. The second meeting was very fruitful and what ever we had decided on our earlier meeting on 16th of September in most of the cases the timeline that had been decided, work has been completed according to it. He said most of the issues relating to GST implementation was likely to be resolved by October 31. There was no question of extending the deadline beyond that date. UNI
