Delhi,Oct 21: Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to
fulfill the promises made to the people, Janata Dal (United-Sharad faction)
leader Sharad Yadav on Saturday said that blessings of Kedarnath were not
needed for implementing the poll promises. Addressing a press conference here,
Mr. Yaday said that the people had voted Mr Modi to power for five years,
reposing trust in his slogan of "Sabka Saath,SabkaVikas" and
"Achche Din " PM Modi had visited Kedarnath on Friday and sought
divine blessings to make India prosperous by 2022. Mr Yadav said that the
ruling BJP had promised to create jobs for two crore youths every year, increase
the procurement price for the produces of farmers and bring back the black
money stashed away. "But the ruling party is now engrossed in trivial
issues like Taj Mahal," the veteran Parliamentarian said. “ For the first
time, a large numbers of youth are unemployed, agriculture and small scale
industries are badly hit by the demonetization,’’ Mr Yadav claimed. Replying to
a question on Jay Amit Shah, Mr Yadav quipped that the laws of the nation do
not apply to BJP but were meant only for the opposition. UNI
