Magnitude 7 quake hits close to New Caledonia

New York, Oct 31: An earthquake of magnitude 7 point 0 struck close to New Caledonia on Tuesday morning, the US Geological Survey said. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said the quake was at a depth of 15 km below the seabed, which did not trigger a tsunami. The epicenter was located 126 km from Mare, New Caledonia. UNI
