Oct 10: The Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Yagya
Bahadur Thapa has said that the upcoming State Assembly and House of
Representatives elections would be held on stipulated dates. The Provincial and
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for November 26 and December 7
respectively. Speaking at an interaction programme ogranised by the Kaski Adarsha
Sewa Samaj in Pokhara, Thapa said on Monday that the political parties were
tying to forge consensus for necessary related laws in the National Assembly
which earlier they had failed to reach an agreement for the same, a report in
The Himalayan Times said on Tuesday. Nepali Congress leader Thapa further said
holding all levels of elections within January 21 next was the utmost priority
of the government for the implementation of the constitution and federalism in
