DODA, OCTOBER 24: The first
Air service between Doda and Jammu was flagged off by MLA, Shakti Raj Parihar,
here today.
The helicopter service will connect the people of the area with rest of
state especially during adverse weather conditions besides giving flliip to
tourism in the district.
The chopper shall operate twice a week every Tuesday and Friday and fare
for Doda-Jammu/Jammu-Doda have been fixed at Rs 2500 per head. For Doda to
Jammu tickets can be booked one day prior from Tehsil office Doda and for
Jammu to Doda tickets can be booked from the office of Deputy Director Tourism, who
is also Nodal Officer for Pawan Hans Services.
While speaking on the occasion, MLA said that it is a historical moment
for the people of Doda district that the long pending demand of the people has
been fulfilled due to the efforts of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
DDC Doda Bhawani Rakwal, SSP Doda Mohd Shabir, ASP Hqrs Vinay Kumar, SP
Ops R P Singh, Tehsildar Nasir Ali Natnoo, District Officers and Media persons
were present on the occasion.
