PM pays tributes to Gandhi and Shastri; visits Rajghat and Vijay Ghat

New Delhi, Oct 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries. The Prime Minister visited Rajghat, the memorial of the Bapu, and offered prayers on his 148th birth anniversary. 'I bow to beloved Bapu on Gandhi Jayanti. His noble ideals motivate millions across the world," said Mr Modi while offering tributes to the great leader. He also visited Vijay Ghat, the samadhi of the country's second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and paid homages on his 113th birth anniversary. 'I bow to the efficient leader, who inspired the soldiers and the farmers of the nation and gave country an able leadership." UNI
