New
Delhi, Oct 27: The Supreme Court on Friday said Doordarshan and private
channels, in their prime time programmes, should create awareness by
telecasting the 'blue whale' games health hazards and its adverse effects. The
Centre submitted that it had set up an expert committee to look into the issue
and file a report within three weeks. A lawyer NS Ponnaih had knocked the doors
of the apex court seeking a complete ban on the blue whale game. Hearing the
plea, the apex court observed that it is a national problem and it should be
properly dealt with. The three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of India
Dipak Misra, also comprised Justices DY Chandrachud and AM Khanwilkar. UNI
