Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar resigns

New Delhi, Oct 20: Taking similar line adopted by former Attorney General Mukul Rohatagi, another top legal advisor to the Modi government, Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar on Friday announced his resignation, citing "personal-family issues". "I have resigned only because there are certain family issues, which i need to attend to", Mr Kumar told a news channel. He further said, "I need to spend more time at home.... that is the only reason for my resignation". Earlier, in July Mr Rohatgi had resigned as the attorney general and had said that he had personal reasons and he also wanted to return to private practice. UNI
