Jammu, October 31- In the
open state hockey championship being organised under the supervision of
President Hockey JK Kanta Andotra and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council
being played at Gundan Stadium Raj Bagh and Polo Ground Hockey Field in
Srinagar the Sahara Hockey Club defeated Young Anantnag Hockey Club by 3 goals
to 2 in the first match held on October 28th .
In the
second match, Kashmir Hockey Academy defeated Shopian Hockey Club by 4:2.
According to the President Hockey JK, final match of the championship
will be played on November 02, 2017 at Polo Ground Srinagar
Earlier the championship was inaugurated by Minister for Forests,
Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh and President Hockey JK Kanta
Andotra.
Kanta Andotra assured for full support for promotion of Hockey in
Kashmir. She also assured for upgradation playfields, equipments,
availabilities of coaches and organisation of special coaching camps for
sub-junior/junior played both men and women of Kashmir division.
