Delhi, Oct 9: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwaril Lal Purohit called on the Vice
President Venkaiah Naidu on Monday noon at his official residence. After taking
over the Governorship on October 6, it was his first visit to the national
capital. It was a courtesy call, official sources said. Mr Purohit’s
appointment as a full-time Governor comes amid the ongoing political crisis in
Tamil Nadu. The state has not had a full time Governor since the retirement of
K Rosaiah in August 2016. UNI
