BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 7: On the instructions of Chief Minister,
Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Minister for Revenue Relief Rehabilitation and
Reconstruction Abdul Rehman Veeri today visited house of noted cultural
activist Atiqa Bano at Spopore and expressed sympathies with the family.
The Minister was accompanied by Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, Vice-Chairman,
Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation.
They hailed Late Atiq Bano's efforts in furthering educational scenario
and preserving the past heritage and culture of Kashmir.
They also praised her efforts of setting up first of its kind Meeras
Mahal at Sopore which the deceased continued to supervise till her death.
