Bhopal,
Oct 6: Former finance minister Yashwant Sinha's criticism of the Centre
has taken a fresh turn with ex-Rajya Sabha member and Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) leader Kailash Narain Sarang placing him in the cross-hairs by alleging
that Mr Sinha was unknowingly strengthening those in favour of Pakistan. In a
letter to Mr Sinha, the Akhil Bharatiya Kayasth Mahasabha President wrote, “I
am surprised at your recent stance in media. It seems you have attacked Indian
nationalism itself for reasons best known to yourself. The posts, prestige and
respect obtained by you in the course of your long political journey were
through the medium of the BJP. You aver that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did
not give you an appointment. You have served in the Union Council of Ministers
therefore are aware of a premier's excessively-busy routine. Mr Modi works for
16 to 18 hours daily. It is owing to his toil that India is touching heights of
development. However, you turned a Nelson's eye to all this. Have you forgotten
that there exists a medium for a party worker to speak his mind? The BJP forums
could have been utilised or a missive would have sufficed.” A copy of the
letter was received by UNI. “You are unknowingly nourishing those who desire to
buttress Pakistan's side and weaken the BJP, the regime and the ideology that
firms up nationalism. It initially appeared to me that you wished to be included
in the list of newly-appointed governors. Your suggestion to parley with
separatists and discuss Kashmir with Pakistan is astonishing. Your diatribe is
anti-party and flies against government policy,” he wrote. “You have raised
demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax issues but what you have said is not
the truth. In reality, demonetisation dealt a body blow to black-marketing and
exposed lakhs of shady bank accounts besides 3 lakh fake companies. The
country's foundation was reinforced and crores of accounts opened,” Mr Sarang
stated. UNI
