Yatoo calls on VC IUST, discusses capacity building of varsity

AWANTIPORA, OCTOBER 3: Vice Chairman JK Cements Ltd and Member Executive Council IUST, Er. Nazir Ahmad Yatoo Tuesday called on Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science & Technology, Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi.

On the occasion, detailed discussion regarding University matters vis-à-vis infrastructural development, science & technology education, food science & engineering, woodcraft technology, innovation and entrepreneurship were held.   

Prof. Siddiqi gave a detailed brief on the functioning of the University in general and its academic and research networking and exchange in particular. Er. Yatoo expressed satisfaction on the momentum of University towards progress, development and contribution to the society by producing efficient and professional human resource. He congratulated the Vice Chancellor for putting his selfless efforts for making IUST a hub of science & technological activities in the State.

Later, Er. Yatoo had a special career counseling session with a large number of students from the Department of Civil Engineering and Polytechnic. In his lecture, he deliberated on the role of engineers in innovations. He advised the students to take inspiration from the leading engineers, so as to give a boost to their morale in setting the professional targets in their lives and reaching their goals and objectives.

While addressing the gathering, Registrar IUST Syed Reyaz Rufai expressed his pleasure over the usefulness of the lecture and called it a good step ahead in creating a professional atmosphere amongst the student community.
