Don’t 'mislead' Patidar youths on reservation: BJP to Congress

Ahmedabad, Nov 28: A week after the Congress Party and Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) reached on an understanding over allowing reservation to the community, the BJP on Tuesday asked them to stop “misleading” the youths.

Talking to reporters here, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “There seems two possibilities to implement reservation for Patidars. Either it can come out of already existing 50 per cent reservation for OBC or it can go beyond 50 per cent reservation. The Supreme Court had already said the limit of 50 per cent cannot go up. We ask from the Congress party what is your roadmap. They are misleading the youths.”
He also lashed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for questioning the Indian Army over surgical strike done on terrorists beyond the border.
“The Congress has stooped to such lows that they ask for the proof the soldiers conducted surgical strike. We have ideological difference but on the issue of defence forces the Congress should not have stooped so low.
Further, praising the Gujarat Model of development coined by then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Minister said, "Our Prime Minister brought the Gujarat model of development to central politics. He has shown that investment can become the centre of opportunities." 
On Vibrant Gujarat Summit, he also said "Now every state is holding its own investment summit... Even state like West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee is also holding the investors summit. Gujarat has led by example.” UNI
