During the camp, organised by Bharat Scouts and Guides and Northern Railway Ferozpur, about 80 participants of the three states, took part in theme based painting, cultural and essay competitions such as Swach Bharat and Beti Bachao & Beti Padhao schemes of the central government, a Press Information Bureau (PIB) statement said here.
In the valedictory function at the auditorium of Railway Station Budgam the members of scouts and guides drawn from Kashmir, Jammu, Punjab and UP mesmerized the audience with scintillating presentations based on rich culture and traditions of their respective states.
During the three day camp from November 18 to 20, 2017, about 80 participants of the three states, the speakers on the occasion highlighted aims and objectives of Bharat scouts and guides and emphasized that the message of self-less service to the humanity must reach to the nook and corner of the country and particularly to all the areas of Kashmir Valley.
In the cultural evening large number of youth took pledge to keep the surroundings neat and clean with slogan “Clean and Green Valley” besides participating in the traditional ‘camp fire’ activity.
The Bharat Scouts and Guides established, Chinar Scouts & Guides unit for Budgam and also nominated Hari Mohan, Chief Area Manager Kashmir Valley Railways as its Assistant District Commissioner (ADC). UNI
