Asks officials to
work with dedication to implement Govt schemes
JAMMU, NOVENBER 24: Minister
for Rural Development Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan on Friday interacted with the newly appointed Bock Program Managers
of JK State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLM) and welcomed them in the
department.
He was accompanied by Mission Director Bakshi Javaid Humayun, Additional
Mission Director Kapil Sharma and other senior officials of the department.
While interacting with the BPMs, minister hoped that the young blood will
further improve the performance of the department and will help in reaching out
to the population in more professional way so that more people are benefitted.
Minister stressed on the officials to reach out to the people and include more
and more people in the scheme so that people especially women folk are
benefitted by providing them an opportunity to start their own income
generating avenues.
Abdul Haq said he will regularly monitor the performance of the BPMs and
the officials showing better performance will be rewarded. Minister further
stated that promotions will only be made based on performance of the
officers.
He said transparency and accountability are the benchmarks of the present
coalition government as there is no space for corrupt practices and persons in
the present government. HE said positive change is visible on ground as a
result of various historical initiatives taken by the government.
He said various
innovative measures taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti
have brought a visible change in governance in the state and everyone has been
made accountable in the system.
