JAMMU, NOVEMBER
13: A meeting of the Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of Jammu
and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of
MLA Mohammad Akbar Lone.
Legislators, Aijaz
Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Abdul Rashid Dar, Jeevan Lal, Ravinder Raina
and Ghulam Nabi Monga attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions
to make the committee more vibrant and result oriented.
During the meeting,
the committee discussed its future course of strategy including its visit to
conduct study tour in southern states of India including Andhra Pradesh,
Kerala, Telengana to study and know the functioning of Rural Development,
Tourism, Health and Naturopathy departments there.
The Committee
decided to take stock of working of Social Welfare, School Education and Higher
Education Departments in its next meeting scheduled to be held on 20th,
23rd and 27th November 2017
respectively. Besides, the PAC Sub Committee will conduct tour to Udhampur
on 27th November 2017 to review the status of road connectivity
there.
Additional Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M A Baba and other senior
officers of Assembly Secretary attended the meeting.
