Seeks regular feedback from them on
public issues
KISHTWAR,
NOVEMBER 06: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, today convened an
interactive meeting with Lumberdars and Chowkidars of the district.
During the
meeting, the participants were sensitized about their basic role and urged to
be in regular touch with officers and officials at the ground level and keep
them informed about the concerns of public.
The DC sought feedback from Lumberdars and Chowkidars on various issues,
including developmental activities, law and order, implementation of
developmental and welfare schemes, functioning of schools, supply status of
essential commodities, power and water supply in their respective areas.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed them to provide necessary feedback
regarding functioning of various departments in their respective areas. He
asked them to keep check and report to district administration about working of
employees in local offices, BLOs, any movement of suspicious elements and drug
peddlers, fire incidents, accidents, diseases and other public related issues.
He further directed them to keep strict vigil on the encroachment of state and
Kacharai land in their respective areas and help the administration in eviction
drives.
The DC urged them not to indulge in
political activity and directed the Tehsildars to take action if
any such complaint is received.
The DDC
assured that the genuine demands of their respective areas will be taken care
of.
The DC
Kishtwar also directed the RDD officials to involve them in plan formations and
get authentication from them about the public meetings held by the departments
in rural areas. He directed Tehsildars to issue identity
cards as well as uniforms to all Chowkidars and Lamberdars.
Project Officer KIshtwar, IWMP, CMO Kishtwar, Assistant Labour Commissioner
Kishtwar, District Panchayat Officer Kishtwar , BMO's, ARTO, Tehsildars
were also present in the meeting.
