JAMMU, NOVEMBER 27: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr
Nirmal Singh, today said the role of late Pandit Girdhari Lal Dogra is
exemplary as he has rendered yeomen’s contribution in socio-political arena of
the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister said this after paying
floral tributes at memorial of the late leader at Panama Chowk here today.
Dr Singh said the contribution of Late Girdhari
Lal Dogra has no parallels in the annals of the society as he selflessly
contributed in the social and political spheres of the state of Jammu and
Kashmir. He said our endeavor should be to remember the role of the leader and
also inform the younger generation about this icon of the state.
The function was also attended by Speaker Jammu
and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, several Cabinet Ministers
including, Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb A Drabu, Minister for Animal, Sheep
Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli, Minister for Irrigation and PHE,
Sham Lal Choudhary, Minister of State for Education and Culture, Priya Sethi,
Vice Chairman Kissan Board, Daljeet Singh Chib, Vice Chairman, SC, ST OBC
Development Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, Legislators, Ashok Khajuria, Sat
Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Ramesh Arora, Charnjeet Singh Khalsa, Vikram
Randawa, R. S. Pathania and senior leaders including Yudhvir Sethi.
