Appreciates role of private educational
institutions in spreading quality education
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 27: Minister for Food, Civil
Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today
said that education plays an essential role in molding children into
independent responsible adults.
“Constructive time spend by children in
schools helps them achieve their goals and ambitions”, maintained the Minister.
The Minister was speaking during annual day function
of K B Public Higher Secondary School in presence of MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak and
former Vice Chancellor BGSB University Masood Chowdhary.
He said that providing quality education to
the students should be the main focus of the school, but moral and spiritual
guidance is also important for their overall development.
Management, faculty and staff members of
the school, social activists, parents and students were present on the
occasion.
The Minister while lauding the efforts of the
school management said that this institute is imparting quality and value based
education among students which helps them to excel in academics besides
providing world class professional experience to make the students as global
leaders.
Describing education as back bone of the
Nation, the Minister said the teachers have prime responsibility in
transforming the students into responsible citizens and make them real assets
for the State and the country. However, he said the role of parents is
equally crucial for the overall personality development of the children.
He said that private sector is doing excellent
work in the field of education and government acknowledges their contribution
in improving literacy rate in the state.
On the occasion, Firdous Ahmed Tak announced
Rs 3 lakh for the up- gradation of school infrastructure from his Constituency
Development Fund.
Earlier, Principal of the School, in his
welcome address highlighted the achievements of the school and the steps
initiated to further improve its educational setup.
On the occasion, the students presented a
colorful cultural programme based on national integration, communal harmony and
social evils.
Minister also distributed prizes of various
categories among the students.
