Samajwadi Party youth leader shot at

Aligarh, Nov 16: Former Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students union president Shahzad Alam Barni was injured when some miscreants fired at him at his office here late on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at his residence in Civil Lines area. Barni suffered a gun shot in his leg and was rushed to the J N Medical college hospital. Barni is the state secretary of the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha. Police on Thursday said that the criminals fired at the leader when he was busy discussing some matters with his supporters. Police was questioning the eye-witnesses to the incident to ascertain the identity of the miscreants and the motive of the attack. UNI
