Special Training programme for BLOs

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 10:- Special training cum orientation

 programme for the BLOs of 35-Wachi and 36-Shopian Assembly Constituencies was held today here at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian.

 All BLOs and supervisory staff participated in the training programme.

 The meeting was chaired by District Election Officer Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz and resource persons included Electoral Registration Officer 36-Shopian, Majid Jahangeer, Electoral Registration Officer 35-Wachi, Election Naib Tehsildar Mushtaq Ahmad and State Level Master Trainers Sanjay Kumar and Rayees Ahmad. They imparted training to the participants and made them aware about the responsibilities of BLOs.

 During the programme, the participants were imparted the training on online processing of forms through ERO-NET, role of BLOs in the

process and functionalities provided by ERO-NET like ERs management, polling Stations management, Electoral Services and information on ER entries that electors and citizens can avail through ERO-NET.

It was given out that the ECI in its initiative of ERO-NET has rolled out measures to fine-tune the electoral rolls, provide error-free EPICs to voters, lessening paperwork as the correct form filled at the entry level will be accepted through the system.

 The participants were also imparted training with regard to the use of mobile phones for conducting house to house survey being conducted in the district from 15th of November to 30th of November, 2017.

 Meanwhile, the BLOs were directed to complete house to house survey in a stipulated period of time so that no eligible elector is left behind.

 Pertinently the training programme has been conducted in view of the special summary revision of the electoral rolls with regard to 01-01-2018 as the qualifying date.
