ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 04: The Deputy
Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today visited Chattisinghpora,
Mattan and other areas inhabited by Sikh community to take stock of the
facilities provided to them on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab.
On the occasion, the DC
congratulated the Sikh community on Gurupurab and said that the message
propounded by the first guru of Sikhs on brotherhood, peace and amity is more
relevant today.
Notably, the DC has already issued
instructions to Health, PHE, PDD and other Departments to ensure all the
facilities like essential medicines, ambulance services, potable drinking
water, rations and power supply to the people in Sikh inhabited areas.
While interacting with the community
members at Mattan, the DC instructed the AEE PDD to ensure adequate power
availability to the people. He also listened to other demands raised by them
and assured that work is already going on in some projects while as other
issues shall also be resolved in due course of time.
The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar
Mattan, AEE PDD, PHE, officers of Health, Food and other concerned Departments.
