UDHAMPUR ,NOVEMBER 10: In order to review the progress of revenue department, Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar chaired a meeting of revenue officers and field functionaries, here today.
Assistant Commissioner
(Revenue), Subash Dogra, SDM Dudu, Baseer-Ul Haq, SDM Ramnagar, Farrukh Qazi,
SDM Basant Garh, Attar Chand, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other district
officers attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were
held on jamabandies, attestation of mutations, inspection of revenue records,
expunging entries of illegal occupants in respect of Kahcharai land, state and
common land, removal of illegal encroachments, inspection of fard- intakhab register, submission of
recovery statements, besides progress on latha and maintenance of various
registers at patwar level.
The Deputy Commissioner directed revenue
officers to prioritize the work of jamabandhi strictly in conformity with the
instructions.
Stressing for keeping close check on
encroachments in areas under their respective jurisdiction and strengthening
the anti encroachment mechanism to retrieve encroached state, common and
kahchrai land, DC impressed upon revenue officers to keep a strict vigil on
conversion of agriculture land to non-agricultural purposes. Similarly emphasis
was laid on conserving water bodies besides restricting their conversion to
other use.
Status of PSGA, Digitisation of
Revenue records, land Acquisition Cases and furnishing of awards for fixation
of rates, revenue papers pertaining to PMGSY and major projects were also
discussed in detail.
The DC also reviewed the status
of applications received under PSGA in the district along with their disposal
rate and exhorted upon the officers to ensure timely disposal of applications
and submission of information under PSGA.
He also directed Tehsildars to speed
up the process of land acquisition in consultation with all the stakeholders so
that best location can be identified for major developmental projects and work
on these projects can be started at the earliest besides completing mutation of
major developmental projects under PMGSY and other schemes. He further
instructed follow ups on sub judice matters so that bottle necks hampering the
pace of projects can be dealt with.
DC also issued instructions to the
officers to update their revenue record village register besides strict
instructions were given to achieve set targets. He called for conducting
frequent citizen meetings in their respective jurisdiction to get appropriate
feedback regarding various problems being faced by the people.
