Nov 4: Eco Park in Kolkata now hosts a brand-new light-and-sound show.
The show depicts the history of Bengal. It is being held from September at the recently-inaugurated Sculpture Garden inside the park.
The daily 45-minute light-and-sound shows are held at 5 PM, 6 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are priced at Rs 30. The narrations are held in Bengali and English.
The park has 12 sculpted panels, each depicting a famous person or an event from the glorious history of Bengal. Coloured light formations are projected onto the panels and a pre-recorded soundtrack is played, containing music and voice.
Besides the relief sculptures, there are portraits of 52 well-known people as well as a few life-size statues. UNI
