New Delhi, Nov 22: Mercury showed a downward trend in the national capital on Wednesday, where
minimum temperature dipped to 9 point 6 degrees Celsius, two notches below
normal.
Meanwhile, air quality remained in the 'Very Poor' category,
with levels of particulate matter registering at 251 for PM10 and 164 for
PM2.5, respectively, coming under 'Moderate' and 'Very Poor' categories. The smog lingering in Delhi air also impacted the rail
traffic, with 28 trains running late due to weather conditions, while four were
put back and one was cancelled. While Sun shone bright with all its might, the maximum
temperature on Tuesday dipped to 24.2 degrees, two notches below normal.
Humidity levels oscillated between 57 per cent and 49 per cent. The weatherman has forecast a clear sky throughout the day, with the maximum temperature likely to remain around 24 degrees, while the minimum will settle around 10 degrees tomorrow.
