JAMMU, DECEMBER 20: District Development Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the Quarter ending September 2017.
The DDC reviewed the performance of banks in regard to achievement under Annual Credit Plan of 2017-18 and the position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio.
Lead District Manager, Bhupendra Singh informed that deposits of the district were Rs. 33769.29 Crore and Advances Rs. 10070.09 Crore, as on 30.09.2017 besides the C.D. ratio of the district was 29.83%.
District Development Commissioner stressed upon the concerned to increase the C.D. Ratio. In this regard, he asked for forming a Committee of the members from major banks and government departments under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner which will meet at least once in three months. He also asked for conducting Financial Literacy camps in collaboration with Banks & government departments on  regular basis and these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness among the people about the Financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for all, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna & 100% coverage under KCCs. He advised that Banks and Govt. Departments to come out with DPRs of various projects and make it available on website, so that the entrepreneurs may be able to identify the desired project.
DDC also suggested that Lead Bank should draw a calendar for organising product specific camps like Financial Inclusion, housing loan melas, Education fairs, MSME seminars etc so that awareness about such facilities is disseminated to specific target groups.
The meeting had also a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP Schemes.
The LDM advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in coordination with banks, so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to undertake self employment activities.
Later, District Development Commissioner launched Potential Linked Plan, prepared by DDM NABARD S.K. Sonkar, for the financial year 2018-19.
Among others, RBI Abhilasha Diwalar ,NABARD S.K. Sonkar, District Coordinators of JKBank, PNB, JKGB, EDB,Director RSETI Tilak Raj,FLCC Counselor & representatives from all other Banks and government departments were present in the meeting.
