Divisional Commissioner reviews progress under AMRUT

JAMMU, DECEMBER 02: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Mandeep K Bhandari reviewed the status of projects undertaken   under AMRUT, in a meeting held here today.

At the onset of the meeting, Commissioner JMC apprised the chair  that 23 works under sewerage and drainage sector are under various stages of execution whereas 6 projects have been forwarded to State Level Contract Committee due to poor response    to the tenders .

During the meeting Dr Bhandari directed PDD and  PHE  to work in coordination so as to complete joint inspections  and speed up the execution process. While reviewing the individual works under drainage and sewerage sector, he asked the concerned to complete the works as per timelines fixed.

He further asked the concerned to share the project details so as to avoid any duplication of work. He also asked PDD to shift the utilities where ever they are hampering works .PHE department  was directed to work out feasible plans for shifting of pipelines with minimum disruption in electric and water supplies to the people.

To further streamline the monitoring of works he asked Commissioner JMC to take weekly review meetings so as to resolve any issues delaying the projects as these projects hold immense benefit for the people.

Among others the meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu  Kumar  Rajeev Ranjan, Commissioner JMC Ramesh Kumar,  SSP (Traffic) Nisha Nathyal, M.D. JK Housing Board Dr Manmohan Singh, Vice Chairman JDA, Rajesh Kumar Shavan,,Director ERA Ravinder Gupta , Chief engineer R&B Sudheer Shah and representatives of PHE , PDD and BSNL.
