| Inspects dev works, facilities for devotees |
JAMMU,
DECEMBER 20: Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, PHE, Irrigation & Flood
Control, Power, Industries and Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today
visited various shrines in and around Jammu city and took stock of the
developmental works and other facilities available for the visiting devotees.
These shrines included Ziarat Peer
Baba Panjpeer Manda, Hazrat Baba Sharaf ud-Din at Tawi bridge and Hazrat Peer
Baba Roshan Shah Wali (RA) Gumat.
The Minister was apprised about the facilities being put in place for the
visiting devotees and new infrastructural facilities being developed by the
Department.
The Minister directed
for immediate replacement of damaged lights with LED lights and installation of
stabilizer at Ziarat Peer Baba Panjpeer Manda to ensure uninterrupted power
supply to the shrine. He also instructed for immediate renovation of pathway
in the premises and maintaining cleanliness in and around the shrine. The Minister asked
the caretakers to take proper care of the Auqaf properties.
At Ziarat Baba Sharaf ud-Din, the Minister asked for immediate repairs and
face-lifting of the shrine.
During his visit to Hazrat Peer Baba
Roshan Shah Wali (RA) at Gumat Jammu, the Minister was apprised about the
facilities available for the devotees. The Minister expressed satisfaction over
the working of the caretakers.
Andrabi also paid obeisance at these
shrines and prayed for peace, prosperity and welfare of the State.
Chief Executive Officer, Auqaf
Islamia, Raj Muhammad, Administrator Auqaf Islamia Jammu, Wasim Raja Khan and
other Senior Officers of Auqaf accompanied the Minister during his tour.
