Agartala, Dec 20: The BJP Tripura observer Sunil Deodhar
today warned the left front government to be neutral in holding the election to
60 –members assembly is scheduled barely within next two months.
Talking to media he complained that CPI(M) has been
manipulating the administration in it’s favour during past elections where fake voting,
tempering of electoral process and illegal influence of some officers were found prevalent. As far as electoral records are concerned, oppositions in past three elections fought against the government not against the party but this time it would be different, Mr Deodhar said adding that BJP has taken steps to ensure neutrality of the sate administration in ensuing elections.
“The cabinet headed by Chief Minister will be there in the state but in electoral process they do not have any role. The administration has to work as per rule and strict monitoring of the election commission and BJP will do at the last extent to ensure it,” he stated.
The BJP leader claimed that anti-incumbency wave has been sweeping across the state and Manik Sarkar government was exposed badly for its misrule and aladministration. The failure of the left front government and fake portal of imaginary development and good governance would be the main issue for BJP in the election, he said.
The manipulation was reached at such an extent before holding the election CPI(M) could able to name the seats, which they won exactly. Neither the number of seats nor the name of the constituencies even the margin of votes was declared by CPI(M) well before the polling.
But unfortunately congress was handicapped because of top level friendship between the leaders of both the parties, Mr Deodhar alleged.
When congress was announcing for mass rallies by Sonia Gandhi and Monmohan Singh last moment of the election – CPI(M) assured the voters they would not turn up and it was happened in 2013 election. The local congress leaders were disheartened after the result but interestingly, central congress leaders were appeared as relaxed, he commented.
Referring to Gujarat election, Mr Deodhar maintained, “In Gujarat the vote bank of BJP was intact but some seats they lost to Congress because of NOTA casting. The vote share of Congress was also not increased despite severe campaign against BJP government.
The congress is feeling good with the number of seats, which can help to tell its supporters but no way helpful in coming elections.”
He added that BJP has already started election activities and from December 25 the central leaders would start works in the state including finalizing alliance with the regional parties and implementing the poll strategies. UNI
