New Delhi, Dec 28: The Central Team, sent to Tamil Nadu to assess the damage caused by the cyclone Ockhi and the North East Monsoon, will discuss the situation with state Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and senior officials on Friday before submitting its report to the Centre. 
The team is led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Jindal. The team will inspect Kanyakumari as well as Chennai and its suburbs today. 
The team inspecting Kanyakumari consists of the Ministry of Shipping, Ports Chartering Officer Parmeshwar Bali, Power Ministry Deputy Director O P Suman and the Union Fisheries Development Commissioner Dr Paul Pandian, all based in New Delhi and Kolkata based Directorate of Jute Development Director Dr K Manoharan.
The team to visit Chennai and its adjoining districts will be having the Union Finance Ministry Expenditure Department Deputy Director Mukesh Kumar, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation Senior Consultant SC Sharma and the Central Water Commission’s Cauvery and Southern Rivers Organisation Director G Naga Mohan as its members. UNI
