Agartala, Dec 26: The BJP Tripura state committee on Monday
remembered former Chief Minister of the state and communist stalwart Nripen
Chakraborty on his 13th death anniversary by holding discussion on life and
work of him.
The party president Biplab Kumar Deb and senior leaders of
the state committee highlighted the inspiring works of Chakraborty to pursue
development of the state and pro-people approach of his government.“He was not only a communist in true sense also set a milestone for the leftists of the country. Chakraborty did not have any political bias to any particular section of people and he never compromise development agenda for his political gain,” Mr Deb pointed out.
Criticising CPI(M) leaders, Mr Deb mentioned that the team Manik Sarkar today forgot their mentor.
He alleged that the CPI(M) leaders should remember him as chief minister of the state. The Communist leaders of Tripura have become selfish of remembering their leaders who have uphold the party in a better way with a motive to help the common people.
The party had also celebrated 93rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in state headquarter in the evening. The leaders acknowledged the contribution of Vajpayee in creation of present India and prioritising northeast in development scale. UNI
