New Delhi, Dec 18: Congress members again created disturbance in the Lok Sabha on Monday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and insisted for the apology from him for insulting former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during election campaign in Gujarat.
After repeated pandemonium, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the proceedings for the day.
As soon as the zero hour began, Congress members entered the well of the house and started shouting slogans demanding an apology from the Prime Minister.
For almost half an hour, the Speaker ignored the slogan shouting and allowed several members to lay the paper and bills. She also allowed to table statements from few ministers.
Congress members continued shouting slogans and demanded that the Congress party leader in the house Mallikarjun Kharge be allowed to speak on the issue of insult of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
But, Ms Mahajan did not allow him and said time and again single issue can not be raised and adjourned the house for the day. UNI
