Jammu hosts All India Hindi Writers Conference

JAMMU, DECEMBER 26:
Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli has
appreciated the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organizing
Hindi Writers Conference in the State and asked them to further intensify
holding of such events.
The Minister, while laying emphasis
on Hindi as our national language, said that such conferences extend a perfect
platform to budding writers and poets to further scale up their talent and
skills in the world of Literature.
The Minister was speaking after
inaugurating a two day All India Hindi Writers Conference “Jammu-Kashmir Ka
Hindi Sahitya: Samkaleenta Evam Saarthakta” organized by the Jammu and Kashmir
Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Abhinav Theatre Jammu.
The Minister appreciated the
initiatives of Academy in promotion of Hindi language and literature in the
State. He said that youth of the State is blessed with unique talent in the
specific fields which needs to be harnessed and channelized in a proper way so
that they can compete at national and international level.
Secretary of the Academy, Dr Aziz
Hajini, highlighted the importance of the conference and assured the audience
that Academy will try to organize similar conferences in future also. He said
that the Academy had organized Dogri and Punjabi Conferences during last
fortnight which was also attended by a good number of writers who represented
different parts of the Country.
“Our motive is to preserve heritage
and promote creativity for unification of different sectors of society and
strengthening of human values of the State at a large”, he maintained.
On the occasion, the Minister
released a book titled “Sheerza Hindi”.
VC Jammu University, R D Sharma, other dignitaries
and a large number of writers, poets, intellectuals and lovers of literature
from different parts of the Country besides locals attended the conference.
